NOTICE OF MAINTENANCE WORK AT THE OFF LEASH DOG AREA
Removal of Fruit Trees from the OLDA

Over the past couple of years there have been several concerns expressed with regards to the fruit trees at the OLDA. The trees have been attracting bees and the dogs have been eating the fruit.

After much thought and discussion with the parks and recreation staff, the only way to avoid this problem in the future, is to remove the trees. You will notice within the next couple of weeks the parks staff will be removing the fruit trees. In the spring new trees will be planted and with some time and patience we look forward once again to having trees at the OLDA.

If you should have any questions with regards to this please feel free to contact us at: Marylynn Balewski: m_balewski@westbloomfieldparks.org or 248-451-1901ext. 220 or our Parks Superintendent Joe Ketchum at: j_ketchum@westbloomfieldparks.org
